Horse Gym Water Treadmill
Benefits of Swimming
The horse racing world has been using water to condition and rehab horses for a long time! Swimming is relatively new to our area. Adjustable resistance (water height), speed, and duration make the water treadmill an amazing tool to condition and rehab equine athletes.
Keeping the horse in natural frame is a definite plus to the water treadmill verses swimming or underground treadmills.
Building Topline
In the Horse Gym Water Treadmill the horse will naturally keep its head down, that along with adjusting the water level so the horse lifts its legs up and forward develops top-line muscles. Higher water levels work shoulder and hind end muscles. To push horses that are in good condition we can add an incline to the treadmill.
Straight Line Walking
When the horse is walking straight the handler can identify differences in footfall. With that info we can use other tools to loosen muscles or align the horse to balance them. Also in the treadmill the horse cannot compensate as easily and they strengthen their muscles equally.

Happy Clients Say
"Not only has Amy kept our rodeo horses feeling good and competing at the highest level for years now. Last year I also had a broodmare that I couldn't get bred for going on two years. Amy did bodywork on her a few times and got her circulation/bloodflow moving again. She just delivered her first foal in 4 years!"
